(Hello, I am Doctor Pérez, nice to meet you.)
2-n. ¿Qué le trae por aquí?
(What brings you/him here? (ie: to the office))
2a-n. ¿Cuál es el problema?
(What is the problem?)
2b-n. ¿Qué le pasa?
(What is going on with you/him/her?) Note: The verb "pasar," or "to happen," takes the place of the English idiomatic phrase, "going on."
2c-n. ¿Qué es lo que tiene?
(What is it that you/he/she has?) Note: In Spanish, asking a patient what he or she "has" is asking about symptoms/problems/illness, etc.
2. ¿Dónde le duele? ¿Dónde te duele?
(Where does it hurt you/him/her? Where does it hurt you (child)?)
2a. ¿Has tomado o hecho algo para solucionar este problema?
(Have you taken or done anything to solve this problem?)
2b. ¿Hace cuánto tiene fiebre?
(How long have you/he/she had fever?)
3. ¿Cuántas veces ha vomitado?
(How many times have you/he/she vomited?)
4. ¿Cuándo empezó la diarrea?
(When did the diarrhea begin?)
5. La herida la recibió con un objeto: ¿cortante, punzante, o romo?
(The wound, you received it with an object: cutting, stabbing (as a puncture), or blunt (dull)?)
6. ¿Cuánto tiempo ha estado abierta la herida?
(How much time has the wound been open?)
7. ¿Tuvo sangre roja brillante en la diarrea, o vómito?
(Did you have bright red blood in the diarrhea or vomit?)
8-n. ¿Tiene alguna alergia?
(Do you/he/she have any allergy?)
9-n. ¿Toma alguna medicina?
(Do you/he/she take any medicine?)
10. ¿Tiene algún hábito como: fumar, beber alcohol, o usar drogas psicotrópicas?
(Do you have any habit such as: to smoke, drink alcohol, or use psychotropic drugs?)
